This resin solution is used in combination with Latex. Typically 10 – 20 parts of ASKOFEN 779 W 50 are mixed with 80 – 90 parts of the Latex emulsion calculated on solids contents.

The requested amount of water to adjust the solids content for the dip can be added as a sodium hydroxide solution. For Nylon the solids contents of the dip should be approx. 20 %, for Rayon approx. 12 %.

Resorcinol-formaldehyde resin as binder for tire cords.

ASKOFEN 779 W 75 is a waterbased high solid resorcinol-formaldehyde resin. In combination with special latex emulsions it is used as an adhesion promotor between reinforcing textiles, e.g. tirecords and synthetic or natural rubber.

Cordes like rayon, nylon, polyester, fiberglass or aramid provide excellent adhesion to rubber when treated with ASKOFEN 779 W 75 RFL dip.
