Askofen 5051 is a high viscous phenolic resin novolak solution solved in ethandiol.

Askofen 5051 in its supplied condition is not curable and has very good storage stability, even at higher temperatures.

By adding hexamethylentetramin (usually 10 - 20% related to solids) the resin system can be cured thermally.

Refractory products made with ASKOFEN 5051 show high plasticity and good reactivity.
