ADDITIV BR 14000 F is a supplement to sand mixtures made according the Cold Box or the ASKOSET Process. ADDITIV BR 14000 F mainly serves to reduce veining. A positive feature is the possibility to cast without core wash. No additional gas development is another decisive advantage with ADDITIV BR 14000 F. Amounts ranging between 6 and 8 % have proven successful in practical operation. As compared to sealed hardwood granulates, the loss in transversal strength and benchlife is rather insignificant.
