Alcohol based coating paste concentrate with high ceramics content for high-performance gray iron, nodular iron and metal castings.

Universal coating for brush, flooding and dipping application to cores and molds manufactured with cold-curing process. This high-solid coating has and improved flexibility during thermal and physical expansion as compared to a pure zirconium coating. Further to that, both graphite and oxide content provide a good separation between the sand and the casting. The novel binder component keeps the alcohol at the coating surface, which guarantees a ripple-free blow application onto horizontal surfaces. SILICO ® HPL can be adjusted to a flooding viscosity of approx. 13 - 14 s (DIN 4 mm cup) with approx. 100 weight percent. An even thick-layered application with relatively short dripping times is guaranteed.
